Bettie Black says:"Nighttime" is a profile of my wild days in the 80's in San Francisco. My friends and I lived in a different dimension, somewhere between the realms of reality and dreams. It was a wonderful world - full of deep moments, love and beauty, terror and sadness, darkness and light, magic. Some of us made it out and some didn't, but we were forever changed. I wrote this song as a tribute to my friends I lost, and the ones I'm able to talk to today.
