Fish In A Tree

Once Eric Din had written Fish In A Tree, which by the way doesn't sound like any other song he's ever written, I knew this song would either be a glorious throw away for the band Hobo or something truly special. Once Eric one-taked the vocal that day at Hyde Street Studio, he made it special. Since then it's always been one of my favorites. I wish I could bottle this combination of poetry in the lyric, tempo of the song, and vocal quality. Then I'd be able to use it over and over. Oh, what a producer's dream. Plus good job of recording by Josh Tobias.
P.S. There's a reward for anyone who can explain what this song is about. - Matthew ...

A little power pop rager I just blurted out one day. -Eric
She Is A Mystery
pop, rock
I wrote this song 20 years ago! It's one of the better pop rock songs I wrote. Eric helped a lot with the cool Byrds like guitar counter melodies. It's a classic boy tries to figure out girl but can't. Many folks tell me its their favorite of my tunes. -Paul

I grew up in a Congregationalist Church. Bored, I told the dreaded Sunday School teacher that the Devil and God were best friends. I always daydreamed of running naked down the aisle to the pulpit jumping up like super man and swinging on the cross hanging from the ceiling. - Paul
