Fun Fun Fun Recordings says: This song is classic Uptones. It was the first song The Uptones recorded when we started "Skanking Foolz Unite". Interestingly enough, the band had performed "Radiation Boy" at shows, but it wasn't one of the songs scheduled to record at that first session. We needed a song to get recording levels and warm up. I like first takes. I didn't want to use any of the songs we were going to record, that way they would remain fresh. So I choose "Radiation Boy." The band kicked into gear, and Eric rocked this version. The rest is history. The Eric Din written song is more relevant today than when it was written some 20 odd years ago. It's the only song on both Uptones CDs. That's saying something.
